One of the most asked questions that I’ll receive as a makeup artist is how to reduce the appearance of pores under makeup.  As we all know, makeup, like foundation can enhance the appearance and size of pores, especially around the t-zone area. One of the best ways to help reduce the appearance and shine around the pores is good skincare, and a good primer.  A primer is a product that I don’t go without and it’s one of the most under utilized products, but yet, when used properly it works WONDERS on the skin.  Creates a flawless canvas, controls shine, conceals enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles.  In addition, a primer will prolong the life of your foundation, powder, CC Cream, tinted moisturizer or BB cream.  It’s a must have in my personal and professional makeup kit. 

Dr. Brandt has a primer called Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer and it does just that… helps to erase the appearance of pores, fine lines and imperfections.  It absorbs excess oils that your skin produces throughout the day and helps to mattify the oily shine.  Your foundation or powder will lay smooth and flawless over top and it really provides a makeup gripping surface keeping everything in place for hours. 

The great thing about this primer is that you can wear it alone without makeup over top.  You can wear it with just powder over or foundation and powder.  Also, if you find that you did your makeup around 7am and your heading to after work cocktails, you can use this primer to simple stipple over top of any pores that need touchup…. no need to wash your entire face and reapply again. 

This product will also help reduce shin and oil without leaving you completely matte. It has a silky formulation so it works well as you blend your liquid products over top.

Pores No More Luminizer Primer

The No More Pores Luminizer Primer is basically the exact same as the above description, however this is for my glowy girls! If you like more of a luminous, radiant, glowy finish you’ll love this pore minimizing primer because it adds a hint of radiance to the skin. It won’t leave you matte.

This will give you that radiance and reduce the appearance of pores, which might I add is a hard product to find.  Normally glowy products will enhance fine lines, pores and imperfections, but this one does not.  It’s formulated with a soft focus that has optical diffuses to blur away the imperfections.  The illuminating ingredients and powders catch light to give that beautiful glow. You can wear this with or without makeup over top. It’s beautiful both ways.

Needles No more No More Baggage

Another product I love from Dr. Brand is No More Baggage is an under eye. This product is designed to use under the eye after your skincare and before your foundation.  It helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles.  This one is fragrance free so it will not irritate your eyes if you have sensitivity.
