We’ve been in our home for almost three months now, and I’m itching to do a project. For those who are new around here, I used to be an interior designer… that’s what my education and first eight years out of school looked like for me. I left a global architecture + interior design firm right before turning 29 haven’t dabbled it in other than doing our home and putting together little collages here and there. 😉 Although, my home might not scream, ‘out of the box interior designer,’ I enjoyed pulling it together, and I’m excited to the same with our new home… which needs some TLC. As much as I want to do bold colors and patterns, I’ll probably stay with neutrals and blues like before – it’s just calming, and neutrals go with Christmas decorations and if you know me by now, you know I’m the crazy Christmas lady! ;).
Anyways, here’s the direction I’m thinking for Olive’s big girl room. A lot of these items we already own, but I’m excited to move her into a big girl bed finally! I love wallpaper in the kid’s bedrooms and more than likely we’ll just wallpaper one wall. Oli keeps requesting pink… so I think we’ll go with this one since she can grow into it. I’ll add little touches to make this look more like a toddler room… some fun bookshelves, toy baskets, this adorable wardrobe rack because she’s getting into costumes!
As we start the renovation of each room (room by room), I thought I’d share the process of it all with you. Also, this is just my inspiration board and I’ll source everything out for those of you who are interested – but you know I’ll be hunting through the shelves at HomeGoods before I make any purchase.

Love this look! About to move my daughter to a big girl bed as well, and I’m dying for those two headboards you have pictures on your mood board. I noticed those exact ones weren’t in your sources listed though. Mind sharing? You have the best taste.

I’m so sorry – I realized I didn’t link the correct headboards. Those are from Ballard Designs.

Oli has such a beautiful big girl room! I was wondering where you got her floral sheets? My little one will be getting her own big girl bed this year and the sheets you’ve been posting look just heavenly! Plus they are my daughters favorite color 🙂 thank you as always for your spot-on recs (half my makeup is LRT approved!)

Awe! Thanks so much, Teresa! Ok, I actually JUST got those sheets from HomeGoods! They’re by Ralph Lauren and they had a few different small/ blue flower patterns! xoxo
