Easter was so much fun this year for our little family!
I had all weekend off of work (including Friday!)… we saw the Bunny (poor Oli) with my sister and her hubby, had a cookie at the mall and this mama soaked up a nap with both kiddos. On Saturday, I went to Orange Theory, ran errands, and Henry and I did some chores! Sunday was all about the family doing typical Easter-y kind of stuff… Easter egg hunt, church and then lunch with friends!
It was an Easter well spent and feeling incredibly grateful for the blessings in my life.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!
Lots of love!
Good Friday morning with the kiddos and their HomeGood’s bunnies! 😉
Olive’s pajamas + Henry’s pajamas
Before visiting the Easter Bunny on Friday! 🙂 Oli had NO idea what she was in for (wait for it…)
Henry’s: shirt | shorts | shoes
Olive’s: romper
Oli was not a fan of the Easter bunny – Henry has never been phased.
Olive’s: romper
Henry has a sweet, old, soul and he really is this loving towards his sister. Olive gets pretty annoyed with him (hahaha!), but for the most part, they really are this sweet together. They’re exactly 3 years and 2 weeks apart (I get asked that often).
It rained on Friday, so we got back in our jammies and had some movie/ nap time together before dinner.
I snapped a few pictures of the kiddos in their matching pajamas before bed on Saturday night. This will be Henry’s last holiday wearing Gap’s famous pajama sets, so I made sure they matched for one last holiday. 😉 I also love these pictures of Henry. As much as I absolutely LOVE and adore him in his glasses, I just love how you can see his face and his precious little eyes without his glasses on. I never want to forget this sweet little face!
Olive went to bed on Saturday evening for the first time without a diaper. Today marks one week of no diapers during the day or during nap time. The last two nights she’s gone down in big girl undies without an accident. I cannot believe it and I swear, I’m not bragging – just really proud… and I know that by me typing this, I’m jinxing myself and Oli!
John and I were laughing because so much with kiddos has come really hard for us… like getting pregnant, keeping a pregnancy and GETTING OUR KIDS TO SLEEP (we just started sleeping for the first time in years). Potty training them has come pretty easy and I’m extremely thankful for that (knock on wood)… and to have two extremely healthy children – not a day goes by that I don’t give thanks to that.
This was Oli’s surprise face when she realized she woke up dry in big girl undies on Easter morning! I haven’t put a diaper on her in 48 hours and to think we’re done with that phase makes me sad – she’s our last baby.
Henry and all of his Easter loot! He also called out the Easter bunny for not taking his picture and ‘thank you’ note (good one, mommy).
Oli came for the bubbles. 😉
Henry’s note and picture to the Easter bunny 😉 so cute! He’s in a Starwars phase currently.
The kiddos on Easter morning after their their hunt in the backyard! I can’t believe how chilly it was.
The kiddo’s on Easter morning before the 11am service.
Olive: dress
Henry: shorts | blazer | bowtie | shirt
He’s never going to let her date!
Easter with my sister and her husband – I love living so close to them!
After church we went over to our besties for a late lunch, cocktails and outside games! It was so much fun and my girlfriend hosts the best little parties for kiddos and adults too! 😉
Big kiddos ready for the egg hunt!
These two have my permission to marry each other one day! 🙂
I love this picture of Olive! As frustrating as age two can be, it’s so sweet and innocent!
