It was one of those weekends that definitely deserves a recap.
If you follow me on Instagram… then you already know all about it! 😉
You might recall my Friday post. I had the weekend off of weddings, awhile back we committed to running the Thunder Road Half Marathon. Well, that didn’t happen, so instead, we enjoyed a lovely weekend… together, as a family!
Here’s a little dive into what we did!
Henry took 3 long naps on Saturday (doesn’t happen often). His 2nd nap of the day lasted 3 whole hours. During this stretch, we got out Christmas decor and I sat back (never happens), flipped through magazines for inspiration and enjoyed my favorite candle and a cup of joe. “ahhhhh”… to say the least.
During my inspiration magazine hunt, I ended up ordering these items!
NOTE: TODAY ONLY – Pottery Barn 15% OFF your entire order + FREE SHIPPING!
I ended up doing traditional stockings from Pottery Barn (size Large). This Pottery Barn Kids Advent Calendar. These Pottery Barn pillows.
This guy! Man, we had such a good weekend with him. He was in the best mood and had so much fun! We got dressed up on Saturday with high hopes of running errands all.day.long. That all changed after lunch when he decided to snooze for 3 hours. We got back in our jammies and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in.
I started decorating! I know it’s a bit early, but if it was up to me, I’d start decorating November 1st. We didn’t decorate last year, we had Henry on 12/7 and then moved on 12/20. Life was too crazy for decorations. So, this is our first year in a home, with a baby… I’m going nuts on the decorating and making it as homey as can be. I had green garland from years ago, if I didn’t have so much of it I would have purchased pre-lit garland. I then used red and white ornaments, mine are from Garden Ridge (purchased a long time ago). Being that I’ve turned into the most neutral colored person in the world, I would have decorated in the grey, blue, white and silver family (to go with our home a little more). I had sooooo much red, white, gold and color from our Holiday’s At The Condo, so I decided to save some $$$ and recycle.
Here’s what the staircase looked like pre-onaments.
We enjoyed lots of family snuggles and play time. After Henry’s bedtime we ordered pizza, watched a movie and we were in bed by 10pm.
Sunday, we got up and attacked some play time and more Christmas staircase decor. My sister and her hubby came over for awhile and we ran some errands. Henry loves Garden Ridge.
Isn’t his outfit super cute (all on sale, except the shoes)! But those socks and his baby TOM’s! Little boys clothing isn’t so bad.
Henry and Daddy made a fire and grilled out on Sunday evening.
It was a wonderful weekend and I hope you had a great one as well!
