EVER.
(and this is why!)
7:30 am construction meeting, love seeing progress!
12:30pm after the the ultrasound tech captured our babes goodies in this envelope.
Do you see what I see? Could it be?
These little feet, you seem them? I felt my first flutters today and it was amazing.
These girls got to see what the envelope holds…
Their reaction caused us Thorne’s a few tears!
Mirror selfie (duh!).
Pretty sure this picture isn’t in need of a caption, hubs latest Insta selfie.
Our Charlotte friends should have received their invite to our reveal today!

So how it all went down…
I apologize (should have done awhile ago) for all my baby blogs. Too much wonderfulness (everything!) to celebrate and there’s nobody I’d rather celebrate it with (I’m including you too, hubs) than my favorite bloggers who have been some of the best friends, shared so much excitement with and for us. Thank you.
So, today, Tuesday July 2nd was one of the best days. First of all it was my sisters 2nd year wedding anny and my nieces 5th birthday. We also had a construction meeting at our lot and we had our big 18 week anatomy ultrasound. I felt the baby “flutter” for the very first time. And the baby’s gender has been secretly passed on (away from mommy & daddy to be).
Big day, huh?!?!
Let me celebrate this with you. We’ve been held at “high risk” with this pregnancy. I’m pretty sure they just categorize any infertile myrtle in this. I still ran, worked out and pretty much stayed the same, just prayed a lot and stayed thankful. We went through testing/ screening earlier on and today we had our 18 week anatomy scan, everything seems perfect. We are thankful. Today we also graduated out of “high risk” and into “low risk” category. Incredibly thankful for this healthy little life that we’ve been blessed with.
Today, I also experienced first “flutters”. This happened during the ultrasound which also resulted in many celebratory tears (mostly from the hubs). Makes the past totally worth the wait. To those that I’ve connected with who are experiencing similar struggles… hold onto the hope and soon this cloud will pass! My promise to you. It’s beyond worth it. Keep the emails and questions, I love being help/ support! xo
Now we wait… 25 days and totally counting.
The gender of baby Thorne (which is driving me nuts, my friends can attest to this) has been reveled… Revealed (correct), just not to us. 🙁 If you’ve kept up with my baby weekly series you probably know by now 😉 that we’re hosting a gender reveal party on July 27th. Let me start by saying I’ve been doing the string test at least once a day and I have a new profession of reading ultrasound pictures. I’ve spent hours researching how to tell the gender of this baby. Bad news is, I stink at reading the gender and am totally confused. The wait continues…
John and I have never hosted a party together. With limited space = no room = no parties. So, this is sorta a big deal to us… and let’s not forget that we’re celebrating this little blessing. Our friends have given us their home for the day (+days leading up) and that’s where we’ll be hosting the shindig. Oh, but the actual reveal will happen on Baby Thorne’s future lot, just a few blocks away. I’ve planned two parties. One for a girl and one for a boy. AND TODAY, we passed along the envelope which contained our baby’s “goodies” to Nicola & Mel. John and I met them in Founders Hall and watched their reaction together as they opened the mysterious envelope! 🙂 It was priceless. I now hand over the party planning to two of my besties… and we watch the clock.
Don’t worry… I’ve tried to get it from them, their response “we can’t confirm or deny”! I’ll let y’all hassle them though, maybe they’ll slip and tell! 🙂
I’m writing this post, totally lounged out (feet extended in front of me and barely sitting up) after Turkey Taco Tuesday and I swear I’m feeling the flutters again. I’m feeling even more connected to this little child of ours.
Happy Turkey Taco Tuesday, y’all! xx
