A little late in posting these, but since December is a big month, I thought I’d share a big recap! I’m wearing you – this is by far the longest life lately I’ve ever published! So many pictures! I hope you all had a wonderful December and holiday season! Olive is already asking, “how many more days until I get to see Santa again?” It’s going to be a long year! Hahah!

Decorated the home (enough said!) Crazy Christmas lady still in full effect. Sadly, I don’t think I took pictures of my trees, mantels, etc.

On December 7th we celebrated Henry’s 7th birthday and my 38th birthday. No big birthday parties this year, but we did have our friends over who have been in our “pod” and still made it special for Henry. His little birthday was perfect because it was two small families and we all happen to be best friends.

Henry was in school for 10 days before our district went full remote (again!!!) but I’m thankful the two days that he was in school was around his birthday so he was able to enjoy “the rock” with his classmates.

The Saturday we had Henry’s little party he lost is first front tooth!

We rented a massive bounce house/ ninja course for the kiddos so they spent the majority of the day outside, but I had this cute little snack set up for them that I took outside too. These kiddos love each other and have grown up together since they were just babies!

More birthday fun with Chewy the Elf 😉

His classroom singing happy birthday via Zoom!

That wraps it up for Henry’s birthday weekend (hahah!) My parents always made our birthday’s super special… it wasn’t about the presents, but just feeling loved and really special! I hope my kiddos feel the love and can look back on their birthday’s and carry on the same birthday traditions with their kiddos one day!

Oli cuddles! She is just SO much fun right now! A HANDFUL, but I we’re having a blast with this crazy girl!

Popcorn dates with Oli and Christmas movies! We have a rule in our house (b/c CRAZY CHRISTMAS LADY) and in the month of December no movies except Christmas movies!

Lots of cookie decorating!

Lots of cocktail making!

The only pic I have of our flocked tree!

Reality of 2020 mom life + work from home + virtual learning! What a wild ride! Henry and I changed up his classroom setting from his bedroom and moved it to our living room for different scenery!

Henry’s Art for Kids Hub drawing obsession! So thankful for this artwork app!

We love the White Water Center Park and spent a good amount of time there in December! On this day in December we took the kids, walked around outside, ate an early dinner, walked the trails and looked at Christmas lights and then ice-skated with the kiddos!

Slow mornings with the kiddos! Check out Henry’s art wall!

I had fun making new cocktails!

Our kitchen came together in the month of December and I’m so thankful!

We took the kiddos to our neighbors / best friends for an little outdoor gathering! Hot coco for the kids, hot hotties for the adults, followed by Santa, magic and a little story time!
ps… Santa happens to be our friends dad/ grandfather!

Oli loved Santa SO MUCH!

Oli’s birthday is on December 23rd (whew – December is BUSY) and if you know Oli, you know she loves Minnie Mouse!

I have a birthday headband and ribbon that I’ve had since Henry turned one (can you believe it) and the kids LOVE wearing them every year on their birthday! I also have a special plate, bowl, and cup that they get to use on their birthday’s! I love those little traditions!

Since her birthday is on December 23rd it can be hard with the holidays… but we try not to do anything Christmas related on her birthday and dedicate it to just her! This year when we asked what she wanted to do, she asked if I would put lipstick on her and if we could make cookies together!

Tried to get a picture in front of her sign!

A sweet picture of Olive’s birthday plate and cup!

I’ll remember December 23rd, 2020 because it was so special!

Got a new top!

Baked and decorated more cookies!

Oli went through a phase where all she wanted to do was take our picture!

We spent a few hours at Light the Knights (took masks off for this pic) and it was so much fun! Kids loved it!

Just like that… Christmas Eve snuck up on us! I made the kids put their fancy clothes on so I could snap a picture and then back to jammies we go! Very low key Christmas for us!

Christmas Eve tradition – we bake cookies for Santa and desserts for Christmas Day!

We didn’t have barstools at the time so we just sat on the counter! 🙂

‘Twas The Night Before Christmas

So proud of their cookies! We also made homemade reindeer food and sprinkled that outside!

Out before our Christmas movie even started!

Kids down and Santa’s helpers doing all the things! We try to have all the gifts wrapped before Christmas Eve! Once the kiddos are down on Christmas Eve we make a fun holiday cocktail, put Home Alone in the background and begin to set up Christmas! This was the first year that we’ve ever been in bed before 11pm!

One picture once their down the stairs and before they sprint for the Christmas tree!

All Oli wanted was the frozen pony!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! xx
