One thing there is to know about me, it’s that my favorite color has always been blue. It makes me happy, it’s calming, it provides a natural and tranquil energy, it’s soft and adds serenity to the space. More than anything it reminds me of the coast. There’s nothing I love more than the ocean and being on the water and in the sand. Thankfully, my husband loves blue as well (he’s a Carolina guy) so it makes decorating our home somewhat easy because we agree on one thing – the color blue!
We moved a little over a year ago and we’re just not those people who move and 2 weeks later everything is in it’s place, pictures on the wall, and life as usual… we annoyingly take our time turning this place into our home. Picking out paint colors <*sigh*> took us close to 4 months. We’re completing projects and here in the coming weeks we’ll be renovating part of our first floor! So my mind right now is all about the home!
Over Memorial Day I purchased two of these ottomans for our front sitting room. We used to have blue chairs in our previous master bedroom that we relocate into our new sitting room so hopefully everything will come together!
This is the exact bar cart that I have in our dining room, except ours is painted blue and I will say – I regret it! I love the natural wicker look just the way it is.
A few weekends ago I ordered this vase from Anthropologie and I just love it! Slowly, I’m starting to add items that I love!
Anyways, I put together a post of some of the items that I’ve been gravitating towards and I’m excited to share more of our home with you all! If you’ve ever lived through a renovation please leave us any helpful tips. We’ll be without a kitchen, laundry room, living room for a few months starting August 1st!
Happy Friday! xx.

I love your home style so much and can’t wait to see more!! We live in Charleston (just moved from Charlotte) and went through a total gut while living in our house (didn’t plan on this at first but such is life, right!?) and I had a lot of moments of tears but just try to remember through the hard parts what’s on the other side! It will feel like forever but it will go quickly and once it’s done you’ll hardly remember it before. Embrace the take out life while you don’t have a kitchen! 😂 Hope it all goes smoothly!
Do you have a list of your favorite paint colors? I’m redoing a house and paint has been the hardest part! Thank you!
Might have just clicked on every hyperlink out because this style is right up my alley! Such a beautiful round up, my friend! Xo
You’re just one of the sweetest! Thanks for the love, friend! xx
