*This precious outfit was kindly gifted to us from The Frilly Frog – more in the body of the post*
Today marks 16 months with this sweet little Olive girl! Crazy to believe! It feels like yesterday that I was anxiously awaiting her arrival. Nervous of the unknown, but so very excited about meeting her precious face. Here we are 16 months later and entirely in love with this adorable little soul.
She stood on her own at six months and walked at eight and a half months. Since then, she’s determined and when you tell her “no” she’ll figure out a way, to do whatever it is that she’s set her little mind to. She loves climbing, scaling, lifting, whatever it takes to get her off the ground. She’s not necessarily into toys but loves a stuffed animal that she can snuggle and an “ook” (also known as a book).
She points, backwards waves and pats little kiddos on the head.
The waving kills me. It’s precious… the other day she stood (of course) on the living room table and just waved at Mickey.
She says, “baby, doggie, dada, brudder, this, eyes, yes, hi,” BUT NO MOMMY! Hahahahahah! Although, this morning, she said mommy for the first time. My husband claims that she says, “mama” all of the time when I’m gone. In my opinion, he’s just saying that so I don’t get my feelings hurt. 😉 Sweet guy.
We’ve had to baby proof more than we did with Henry. I would receive comment after comment, regarding how I had decor on my coffee tables and end tables with an active little boy… I didn’t think much of it. Henry was easy to redirect. By the time you told him, “no,” he wasn’t interested an already into the next thing. I never had to worry about clearing off the surfaces for the hurricane. Life with Olive is so much different (hahaha!). Everything is off the coffee tables. All doors and baby gates must remain shut at all times (she cannot be trusted – lol).
We just love life with this sweet girl! She’s still taking two naps a day and sleeps from 7 pm to 7 am (not a humblebrag because it took us A LONG TIME to get on that schedule – whew!). She loves avocados, bananas, green beans, strawberries, any and every pouch, goldfish and granola bars.
Olive Girl – we love you!
I’m so thankful to be on this adventurous Motherhood / Childhood adventure with you!
Now a little on this outfit and small family -(mama)-owned business, The Frilly Frog. You know I love to support products and companies that I believe in. They’re a company in Greenwood, South Carolina and have been in business as long as I have – nine years! We both launched our companies around the same time.
I was initially drawn to The Frilly Frog because of the full range of lines to meet the needs of the traditional and trendy folks. The sweet mama (owner) started her line called, Cece Wells to honor her daughter. I’m excited to introduce this adorable small shop to all of my readers.
A big thank you to The Frilly Frog for believing in my brand and this precious outfit! Thank you to all of you for your constant support! Xo!
