I suck at blogging these days… this little space of mine, that I have big plans for, has literally become a photo journal of mine. So, here we are… another Life Lately post. We’ve had a lot of quality family time lately and the Carolina weather is something else. Two Sunday’s ago we did a little putt-putt in the neighborhood.
She makes me so happy! How cute is this little jumpsuit and cardigan?
This sweet face! I love this precious girls SO much!
Even took the golf carts for a spin!
This Sephora brush set + pouch is a MUST HAVE! I posted about it a few weeks ago on Instagram, but the entire set is under $50! Great quality! It’s also available in an eye brush set for $39.
I snapped this shot the other morning… these two really play so well together. They create a disaster, but for now get along. If they’re not playing together – they’re at least parallel playing… side by side.
I will admit, Henry does get on her nerves… lol! Big, protective brother for ya!
Nothing more peaceful… Olive’s sleek sack that she’s been in since 6 months (she’s 14 months now) has been the best investment. Loving the ZIPPER front Kickee pants pajamas (our favorites).
Love hanging with my best bud, McKenna at Fit Atalier.
I purchased this orchid from Trader Joe’s four weeks ago for $12 (included the pot) and it’s still looking gorgeous!
Last Wednesday was one of the sweetest and most unexpected days that I’ve spent with my son. On Tuesday, he overheard me telling my husband that I was getting my hair done the next morning. This turned into SO many questions because Henry does not like it when I have my hair up (in a hair bow as he calls it). He’s never had a security blanket, stuffed animal, or toy… but the kid has found an attachment to my hair, and that started at a young age.
He used his manipulation skills on Wednesday morning and begged to stay home with mommy… which meant highlights and hair cut with mommy!
We kicked our day off at Starbucks, where he got his favorite fruit pouch.
We had MANY pep-talks over our coffee + water about mommy getting her hair done!
He did SO GOOD! FOUR! Game changer! He sat on my lap and watched Andrea place every foil and clip. Many questions… but super sweet!
While my color processed he got a snack from the vending machine (Oreo’s) and a potty break.
Then it was his turn… the kid loves haircuts and dentist appointments. The best day… even if it was just getting my hair done! He overcame his fear of seeing his mommy with her hair up.
The sweetest little Valentine’s Day with my kiddos!
The whole fam made an appearance at Henry’s school party!
Stripe Jumpsuit | Denim Jacket
Organizing his Valentine’s Day loot!
Always keeping an eye on her big brother!
Park weather! This is how we end most of our days… how cute is Olive’s sweatshirt and leggings?
Lookin’ so big and grown up!
Picked up this new piece from HomeGoods! I LOVE the acrylic shadow box!
If you don’t already, make sure to follow our Be Pretty Charlotte Instagram page. Here’s one of my favorite looks that I created for a bridesmaid in our Jackson Hole brides wedding! LOVED this look!
On Friday before heading out of town, I snapped this picture of Henry… on Friday’s the kiddo’s don’t have to wear their school uniforms and Henry LOVES picking out his outfits. The days of monograms are long gone. Look at how grown up he looks! I can’t get over it!
After drop off we headed down to Hilton Head for a wedding!
Love traveling with this girl! Can you believe she’s been with Be Pretty as a full-time employee for SEVEN years now! Crazy!
It was such a nice 36 hour getaway! And of course I missed the kiddos like crazy… but some beach time, a wonderful group of ladies and a relaxing dinner was so refreshing.
View from our room!
We stayed at Sea Pines and that’s where the wedding was as well! Gorgeous!
We had a later start, so I played around with Sabrina’s eyes! I used Sumptuous Olive (y’all this color is stunning) and Blackberry.
Obsessed with these new knit overalls… I purchased them in ivory as well! Here’s the shirt that I’m wearing and it’s on sale!
A little action shot!
I got home late on Saturday evening and my hubby took the kiddos to Atlanta to visit his family… so Sunday morning I woke up to a quiet house, cleaned, did laundry and tried to get a head start on the week.
We were all reunited a little before noon on Sunday! Just in time for lunch!
On Sunday, we ventured to Hello, Sailor – the old Rusty Rudder!
The decor was so cute!
We sat outside just like the old days!
I ordered the lobster roll and side salad… I didn’t eat the bread because I’m trying hard to be healthy. I normally stick to a glass of wine or vodka and soda, but decided to try a cocktail off their menu and it was delish!
Peek-a-BOO is on repeat!
This month is just crazy… I never leave the kiddos and all of a sudden I have work trips and one girls trip coming up! I know it’s good to get away, but they’re literally all happening at once and I’m already getting homesick! On Saturday I’m heading to LA (eeeekkk)!
I’ve been living in these jeans lately from Madewell! They’re SO cute and FLATTERING, y’all! Size down! I haven’t felt this good in a pair of jeans in a long time!
How we ended Sunday night together!
I shared this bronzer on my Instagram page today… LOVE IT! I’m using it as a highlighter, bronzer and blush all in one! Here’s what I had to say about it!
A new favorite! This bronzer is radiant yet matte and leaves your skin fresh, glowy, without any shine with a beautiful satin finish.
The “radiant matte” description is a bit confusing, it’s not shimmery and not flat matte. It’s a soft, velvety powder and I’m using it as a blush, bronzer, and highlighter all in one. So if you’re more of a “no-fuss” girl and appreciate the term ‘less is more,’ then you’ll love this compact.
It’s an exact bronzy shade that doesn’t transfer too orange, more of a soft rose with a hint of pink that gives you a natural, sunkissed looking glow. This compact is blendable and goes on so smooth. After testing it out for the last month, I highly recommend it!
I’ve wanted a pair of denim overalls forever… still undecided?! Should I keep them? Or do a need more of a relaxed pair?
We spend a lot of rainy days at Concord Mills! There’s so much for kiddos to do there.
Sea Life, Dave & Busters, Merry-Go-Round, Choo-Choo-Train, fish watching at Bass Pro Shop and the worlds best Home Goods!
That’s all I’ve got for you… sorry my blog isn’t more interesting these days! Xo!
