Happy Thursday, friends!
First of all, than you all so much for your comments, emails, texts, Insta comments, etc. from my blog on Tuesday. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. At times, as a mother, I feel like in order to ‘fit in’ you have to constantly be complaining about your child and your role. Or there’s constant comparison on who (what mom) has it harder… and that’s where the post came from. Again, I hate creating a negative vibe, but I think it’s a good reminder to appreciate what we have and be grateful. I know far too many women, including my best friend, who have lost children and have been told there is no future hope for their own biological children. It’s heartbreaking and hearing negative words from seasoned mothers about how terrible having two is… it’s just really discouraging and sad. So, please forgive me for speaking my mind and thank you for the love.
Just wanted to share our nursery progress! It’s so fun to see the space come to life. I’m not sure if you remember, but with Henry, I never did the whole “nesting” thing… we were in a tiny apartment and moved 3 weeks after he was born. It’s fun to get everything in place and ready for her arrival this time around.
Once the wallpaper goes up, there will be a significant amount of color. As much as I love the white… gotta give her a little POC.
Xo!
