Anatomy Scan Update

Hey ladies,

Thanks for all of your prayers and response to my post today.  Great news from our anatomy scan this morning (18weeks, 4 days)!  Baby girl is about as healthy as can be (so thankful) and growing (already 9oz.)!

With IVF babies there’s a greater risk for heart defects, but testing can rule out any risks factors during the pregnancy.  Chambers, valves and veins are all in place and running as they just as they should.  Veins that run blood from the feet to the legs and brain are working and pumping blood perfectly.  Her heartbeat was 155bpm.

We’ll go back to Maternal Fetal at 24 weeks for a more in depth look at the heart, but this appointment they’ll be able to 100% rule out any possible defects.  Once again we are blown away by technology and very thankful!
