There’s something about this bride and her family that I absolutely adore and LOVE.
I’ll try to keep this short and to the point… and you’re probably wondering why the makeup, hair and wardrobe stylist is getting deep about this kind couple… but I can’t help it. They literally feel like family to me.
I met sweet Hope (the beauty pictured below) through her loving sister, Elise back when she (Elise) tied the knot a year and a half ago. I immediately clicked with the two during Elise’s trial, bridal portraits and then wedding day. When our time together came to an end, I was incredibly sad. I shared a crazy connection with these girls and their mother (or at least I think I did). 😉 I almost felt like their big sister. Did I mention that they have the most fashionable Mimi (80 something)… she wears leopard skinny’s! No joke, she’s probably the most stylish lady’s I know!
Time went on and I would see Beth, their beautiful mama at Hilliard Studio Method (don’t worry gals, that fad only lasted a month (hard as sh!zz)). She was always so sweet, so very kind… and very buff, body envy like nobody’s business. This mama always had the right words to lift me up… and she was truly best friends with her daughters. Their relationship is pretty amazing.
Over the past year, Hope grew very ill to Crohn’s disease. Very ill. She spent an extended stay in the ICU and underwent several surgeries. By the Grace of God, this sweet girl only has scars on the exterior to show for the pain she endured. Her disease for the most part is what I understand to be cured. She lives up to her name… Hope. Through her battles I never once heard her speak negatively of the obstacles and battles that life handed her. She found Hope through scripture, prayer and support. To me, this lady is my hero. Hope the Hero! 🙂
I love you Hope, Elise, Beth, Mimi and all the mini horses.

Now onto their session… Hope and Spy Spy (the groom) live snugly in the BIG APPLE. Their wedding will take place in Charlotte at the end of May. Hopes grandparents live on the most breathtaking farm not far from Charlotte and that’s where the magic happened for their engagement session.
Since they live out of town, I virtually styled them… that’s the board shown below.
It was an amazing morning spent on the farm with photographer, Kristin Vining and this happy couple (added bonus Elise was in town too). We can’t wait for the big day, Hope and Spy Spy!

So, confession… I love short little animals. Maybe because I’m short, I have even more of a heart for them. Hope’s grandparents have mini horses AND mini cows! I’m sure there’s an actual term for these little mini animals. I fell pretty much in love with them. During the shoot Kristin Vining tried to get my 34-week-preggo-self to sit down… but I couldn’t, I was living on a mini horse high.
These little mini animals were adorable and I was able to snap a selfie with one. Pretty sure this mini horse was a boy and he had a mad crush on me! 😉
