Dear John Henry,
Little man, our last week in our 20‘s… 20th week that is! Ok, let’s have this chat… a little bit of fear is starting to overcome me as we inch closer and closer to meeting you. I’m so excited, don’t get me wrong, but I’m also so scared. What if I’m not good at this mom stuff. What if I don’t give you all that you deserve. How do I, am I, supposed to know how all of this works? What if I do it all wrong? I want to give you the world, I want to give you everything you deserve, but I’m scared. I’ve never been more excited and the vision of you is overwhelming in the BEST possible way you could ever imagine. I promise you this, I might fail at some day to day tasks, but I’ll never stop loving you. You have my heart, little man.

Size of babe: A butternut squash! I know, right!?! 17″ and 3.1 lbs!
Weight gain: Well, so much for that cocky attitude of mine from last week… because I’m up 1.5lbs. Sitting strong and proud at 29.5lbs according to my scale, BUT if your asking the doctors scale then I’m up 27.5lbs.
Maternity clothes: Yes! Been purchasing some non-preggo sweaters for the fall/ winter too. Scored some maroon and black skinny jeans too.
Gender: The little man… who likes to kick his mama, John Henry Thorne.
Nursery: Shoot! I still haven’t posted this.
Movement: Lots and lots of my crazy little man… occasionally I find a limb in a rib! Note to self: never drink a caffeinated ANYTHING at 7pm. Up unit this week I’ve only had 1 small cup of caffeinated coffee and didn’t even finish it. While I was at Target the other night… I grabbed a tall PSL. I mean half of it is milk. Well, needless to say, me and the babe were up all night long. He was nuts!
Sleep: Up a lot more… and the night I decided coffee was a good idea??? What was I thinking! It’s hard trying to get comfortable and I constantly have to have a blanket or pillow wedged under my belly.
What I miss: Being able to run! I miss my runs! I’m also missing my thighs and……… (you guessed it) my arms! We’re heading to the mountains in a few weeks and I know I’ll be missing a good glass of cab!
Best moment this week: Got a pedicure with the BEST acupuncturist EVER, Adrianne with Inner Peace! We chatted about getting me ready for delivery! I’m going to start going back in a few weeks before my due date for acupuncture… I guess it helps to progress the birth process, still keeping you around your due date.
Looking forward to: Celebrating our 4th anniversary and my 30th week!!! This all happens on Thursday, September 26th!
Cravings: PUMPKIN CANDY CORN, it’s all I think about. Other than that… sprinkled parmesan cheese. Have I mentioned this before? I literally eat it straight from the bags.
Symptoms: Cellulite! Thigh rubbage! And OMG I have a new one… shortness of breath. Whew, where are my lungs right now? It’s hard to breath even if I’m leaning back in a chair.
Workouts: Several 4-6 mile walks this week and 3 Group Power classes. Still going strong, just getting slower.
