To purchase…

Jan 28 2015

Or not to purchase… is the question???

Too many pretty things, just a mouse click away!!!

Here’s a few items taking up some serious real-estate in my cart + some purchases I’ve already made.

I’m normally not a huge Lilly fan… but this caftan is calling my name!

I’m also loving this Lilly maxi.

This lovely palette is to die for!!!  A must in every makeup bag.  Free shipping at Nordi’s!  Bronzer, highlighter and blush all in one!  Totally worth the $30!

I ended up ordering this black swimsuit from Victorias Secret… if I like the fit, then I want the peach as well.

I also ordered this dress from Victorias Secret.  We’ll see how it fits.

Tell me to buy this?!  It’s a great dress, huh?

Ok, this mini dress is super cute, right?!

I haven’t purchased a new pair of sandals (other than flip flops) in years!  I’m in need a a good nude wedge.  Obsessed with this one.

If my tata’s weren’t so out of control, you better believe I’d sport this adorable swimsuit this summer.

What’s on your shopping list?!?

Around the house

Jan 23 2015

It’s been awhile since I posted about our life lately.

So, here you have it… our life lately, projects around the house and recent purchases!

I need to get better about posting these.  If you follow me on Instagram, a lot of this isn’t news to you! 🙂

Happy Friday!

News Flash – I hate diets, I enjoy wine and I love salty-fatty foods.  That being said, somethings gotta give.  So, I’m doing a Nutritional Cellular Cleanse.  30 day cleanse, 2 shakes per day, healthy meal and snacks.  Every week I do 2 days of pure cleanse!  No food.  It’s honestly not as bad as I had it hyped in my head before starting.  I gave up coffee, yup!  18 days and I’ve had nothing to drink except water… so instead I drink my cleanse out of cute coffee mugs.  This one was gifted to me from my friend, Allison.  If you’re interested in learning more about the cleanse email me and I’ll put you in touch with my nutritional coach.

My baby has been fighting the cold weather crud.  Last week he was sent home from school because of a fever.  Of course, it was the one day where I had 3 clients scheduled and John wasn’t able to leave work.  Somehow, Henry and I made it through the day of beautifying, nursing a sick child and a doctors appointment.  I’ll soak up every moment where he falls asleep on me.  Pure bliss.

Lindsey Regan Thorne_7

My hubby is also eating healthy, which means apples in the fruit bowl at all times.  I’ve been having the spring shopping fever and picked up this redicuously cute bowl from Target.   I’m also loving this one.

I’m finally moving on to the bedroom.  Excited to get this party started.  First thing, find bedding and do something with our night stands.  I just ordered a acrylic trays (20″ in length) for each nightstand.  Then I’ll layer with books and frames.  I also picked up these marble boxes from Home Goods.  Not crazy about the knobs.

7436116-1Here’s the tray!  One for me, one for him! 🙂

Boys will be boys… so I hear!

I’m turning over a new leaf… I’m learning to enjoy cooking and I’m getting (somewhat) “confident” (I have a wayyyys to go) with being in the kitchen.  This weekend I made a salmon dish and lettuce wraps.  This is huge for me!  I can’t wait to use my new olive oils from Pour Olive in Dilworth.

Lindsey Regan Thorne_11

After a year, I feel like we’re finally putting some nails in our walls.  We hung these frames from Pottery Barn.  I also ordered these flower/ burst things from One Kings Lane.  Loving One Kings Lane lately.  I’m sure these will be out of style in a month (they probably already are), but I love them and have loved them for awhile now.  They look super modern with the frames, so they might have a new home eventually.

Product_QGJ11357_Image_1I also ordered this rug from One Kings Lane for the foyer – which is right where the frames (pictured above) are.  I swear one day I’ll incorporate a color other than blue, beige, white and grey… just not yet. 😉

Lindsey Regan Thorne_15

I just started this book, Unglued.  It’s the book that corresponds with the bible study that I’ve been asked to join by my friend, Katrina.

Lindsey Regan Thorne_16

Since we’re on the book topic, Henry is going through the “reading phase”.  All he wants is to do is read.  He was given the book, “Toot” and he literally giggles at it.  It’s all he wants to read at night when we’re in the rocker together.  So I ordered some other books by Leslie Patricelli.  He loves the little boy in these books… literally smiles the entire time we are reading them.  Toot . Tubby . Huggy Kissy . Potty

Lindsey Regan Thorne_18

I’m not sure if I ever shared our playroom wall on the blog, but here it is.  It’s still growing.  I’m adding more frames to the collection… gotta showcase Henry’s art!

Lindsey Regan Thorne_6

Love this picture of my little man and me!  This was taken after my “last supper”… jk!  But really, it was.  My last meal “out” on January 4th at Bad Daddy’s.  I cannot wait for my 30 days to be over.  I miss eating out!  And vino!  And sugar!  And chips…. you catch my drift! 😉  OMG Marcos pizza sounds beyond amazing!

Lindsey Regan Thorne_21

My sweet sis is way too generous when it comes to gift giving!  She gave Henry both of these shoes for Christmas!  Love these little Hunters.  Busting these bad boys out for the crappy weather we’re about to get this weekend!

Lindsey Regan Thorne_20

And the adorable Toms!  Thanks Aunt Lex!

Lindsey Regan Thorne_23

This picture was snapped over the weekend.  We met friends at the park and pushed Henry on his Joovy Tricycoo, which he LOVES!  It also comes in pink and orange… oh and there’s matching helmets available too!

That’s all I have for y’all!  I hope all is well and I’ll start doing these “life lately” posts more often!  It’s a fun little journal for me to look back on!

Happy weekend!  xo

Skincare Guest Post

Jan 22 2015

Hi ladies,

After my skincare blog post two weeks ago, I received a lot of questions.  Some questions that I didn’t know the answer(s) to… so I asked the “wrinkle warrior” to do a guest post and share her skincare, wrinkle-free expertise with y’all.

I’ll turn it over to Kristen… but of course, not before a quick selfie of us + our hubby’s!  Not only has this lady changed my skin, but she’s been on heck of a friend!

xoxo ~ Lindsey

Awww, Lindsey!  THANK YOU SO MUCH for this!!  Its true what they say the best compliment you can give is a referral.  The fact that you are sharing these amazing products with your followers, friends and family is a true testament to how well they work.  Let me start out by saying I never in a million years thought I would be in sales but like you the second I started using these products I was hooked and knew I would need to fund my addiction somehow. 🙂 I started out just hoping to cover the cost of my monthly purchases but once my friends and family caught on and started trying out the products it quickly became so much more than that! I feel so fulfilled when customer after customer comes back to me and says things like “I really have never been more confident in my skin, and this is just after three weeks!”  or “Holy Cow look at my before and after, I think it’s working!”  I hate being “salesy” but I love getting these products into people’s hands and making them happy….it’s much more rewarding than my corporate 9-5er!  These Dr’s are innovative and would never put a product on the market that was not BETTER than stuff already out there.  And that’s also why they offer a 60 day money back guarantee with results and have less than a 1% return rate.

Ok – I think you all get how great the products are.  Let’s talk what’s right for you, and how much!

First let me back track – if this is all too much to read or go over via a blog post, I get it!  Email me… and I’ll give you my phone number.  Let’s talk on the phone!  I’ll do a mini skin consultation on you, recommend products based on your skin care needs, and go over pricing! BAM…that easy!

If you’re a more do it your selfer…no problem.  Go online and take our Solutions Tool.  You’ll answer a few short questions about your skin and the Dr’s will recommend what Regimen and Tools are for you.   You will fall into one of these four categories…

1.      Redefine – Aging skin

2.      Reverse – Sun damage, sunspots and an overall brighter appearance

3.      Unblemish – Acne and Acne Scarring

4.      Soothe – Redness, irritation and sensitive skin

The Two tools we offer are:

AMP MD System  – Coined “The best spent minute in skincare” Patent Pending system utilizes non-invasive micro- exfoliating skincare roller clinically proven to safely and effectively improve the appearance of skins firmness.  System contains reusable AMP MD Micro-exfoliating roller, two month supply of Redefine Night Renewing Serum, and cleansing purification tablets.  The AMP roller can be purchased as a bundle with most regimens at a 20% discount and will accelerate Regimen results by  500!! Watch this You Tube video to get a better idea on how to use the Tool.

Macro- Exfoliator  –  for extreme smoothness and radiant skin –  In one use it will clear away 5 Million dead skin cells leaving behind only your smooth healthy looking skin! Also can be purchased with a Regimen at a 20% discount! Watch this You Tube video to get a better idea on how to use the Tool.

And last but not least our Acute Care (wrinkle filling strips) Which can be purchased with any Regimen.  I could do a whole blog post on these babies.  They just came to market January 5th and are a total game changer is this world of botox.  I use the anology of teeth whitening.  Back in the day people used to go to the dentist to get their teeth whitened.  Now with Crest white strips NO ONE is doing that, everyone uses the strips.  The same thing is going to happen here.  People are no longer going to go to the dr. to get a needle put in their face to fill a wrinkle.  They are just going to place a strip over their wrinkle, in the comfort of their own home, and it will fill while they sleep.  How does it work you ask?   Allure magazine did a nice write up on them here, but essentially they are 99% hylaronic acid (which is naturally found in our bodies and a common wrinkle filler) and 1% peptide.  These ingredients are crystallized into tiny cones on the patch.  Place the patch over your wrinkle and as you sleep the crystallized cones will melt into your wrinkle filling it overnight.  Now most people see overnight results but the recommended usage is one treatment, every three nights, for 4 weeks and you will see results last an additional 8 weeks.  12 total wrinkle free weeks for $200 dollars.  Better than botox?  Total thinks so!  You can make the call for yourself..but they are definitely cheaper!!

Alright a little bit about me…as Lindsey mentioned I use the Reverse Regimen for sunspots, and face brightening.  This Regimen is GREAT  because Step three in it has  pure Vitamin C and Retinol which when combined are a great brightening agent but also the retinol will reduce wrinkles as well.  In my eyes the best of both worlds!  I also use the Amp roller, micordermabrasion pastes, eye cream and lip serum.  Here’s my night time steps… side note:  I was one who NEVER washed her face before R+F, now it’s a pure luxury and something I do for myself and can’t believe I didn’t before.  I work two jobs, have two kids, a home to clean to with no cleaning ladies, no excuses ladies!  A little hint: What I do is when I get home from work, I get dinner in front of the kids and while my husband is down there with them eating I go upstairs, change out of my work clothes and do my face routine.  This way I’m doing it at 7pm and not “too tired” to do it at 10pm! And it perks me up to tackle the next 3 hrs of work I have to do at home.

1.       Reverse Exfoliating Face Wash

2.       Reverse Brightening Toner

3.       Redefine Amp Roller

4.       Reverse Vitamin C & Retinol Serums

5.       Redefine night renewing serum (not necessary since im using step 4, but hey I sell the stuff so why not!)

6.       Lip Serum

7.       Eye Cream

My morning is just wash, tone, serum,  and 50 spf sunscreen…I’ll be damned if these sunspots come back!   And check out my results, not to mention how bright my face is!

Now, the ultimate goal is to treat your skin concerns and then get everyone on Redefine (the anti-aging line that lindsey uses).  So if you are lucky enough to not have any concerns to treat then you may pass go, spend 200 dollars and go straight to Redefine.  (see what I did there.  Hehe).   I’m going one more round (2 months) on Reverse and then I’m switching over to Redefine.

Alright PRICE!! You can see prices online. If you want a Regimen and Tool buy them together as a “bundle”  (you’ll see them grouped together online) and they are priced 20% off.   Any price you see you can take 10% off and get free shipping if you sign up to be a “Preferred Customer”.

To become a preferred customers it’s a one-time $19.99 enrollment fee and you will be on a 60 day auto replenishment program for products (their regimens are 60 day supplies) HOWEVER….you DO NOT have to order every 60 days…you’ll get an email the week before they ship your new product (and I will personally remind you) and you can either change the product you want them to send you…OR…delay your order until whenever.   You can hit delay every 2 months for as long as you want and you’ll still be a preferred customer and get 10% off and free shipping when you do end up getting something.  Really anyone that orders signs up as a “preferred customer” because even on your first order with the $19.99 fee its still ends up being cheaper with the 10% off and free shipping more than offsetting that.  And let me re-iterate…you are not “locked in” to any sort of commitment and can cancel your membership at anytime.

I do also want to say, it’s a lot of upfront cost, but like Lindsey mentioned, our products last a long time.  If you do your regimen day and night it will last 2 months, if you’re a once a day person it could last 4 months!  Our Amp roller tool will last at minimum a year, and Macro-E tool forever!  So your “re-curring” costs will likely just be your regimen at 10% off and free shipping every few months.  $50 dollars a month on average for amazing skin, I know I’ve blown money on a lot worse things!!!

If you’re brave enough, go ahead and order away  or if you want to talk about what products are best for you, or make sure your getting the best pricing, or have any additional questions…please don’t hesitate to email me.

New year, New YOU!!  R+F is changing skin and changing lives.  Sounds cheesy, but it’s true…has def changed mine and Lindseys’! xoxo

It’s LRT again and naturally I’ll end the post with a few pics of my girlfriend, Kristen and myself!

Girls just wanna have fun… with good skin, of course!

spring is almost here

Jan 21 2015

What’s worse than being on a cleanse???  Listening, smelling and watching your hubby eat dinner.  So, instead of indulging on yummy food, I decided to look at skinny girls selling swimwear.

In other news… I’m heading to the Caribbean with friends is 33 days!  Two of our “couple” best friends and us!  No kids.  Just adults.  Ahhh.  This mama hasn’t shopped in what feels like forever.  It’s been fun looking at spring wardrobe, although, there’s not a lot out there, which is super disappointing.   And when did swimsuit shopping turn so blah?!  I’m going to keep this hunt alive and share with y’all what I’m finding in future posts.  I normally don’t like the flouncy bandeau tops, but I fell in love with this one (shown below).

Oh, and that Tory bag!!!  Love that color, I currently have it in camel, but I’m dying over that soft pink.

I’m on the hunt for swimwear, dresses, anything springy-summery!  Please share your finds with me!

Here’s a few items on my wish list & in my cart, just a click away.  *hint *hint hubby!!!  I know you need Valentines Day ideas.
