I’ve fallen in love with some new lipsticks and I’m excited to share them on my blog today. If you’ve been following my product recommendations for any length of time or my work as an artist then you’re quiet away by now of my love/ hate relationship with mattifying, long-wear lipsticks. I talk often about how I’m always on the hunt of the perfect long-wearing lipstick that I can use on clients that will stay put for hours upon hours. I’ve also shared how I typically don’t use long-wear lipsticks because of the film and residue that it leaves on the lips – almost caky. I know on me, typically mattifying lipsticks will insinuate the fine lines on my lips! I’m excited to share my new found love with Givenchy lipsticks from Sephora – also part of the Sephora Holiday Bonus Event! They are like no other when it comes to a long-wear and mattifying lipstick. I’ve fallen deeply in love with the performance, wearability and the beautiful colors for every skin-tone. In the body of the post I’ll go into more detail about these beauties!
Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick
Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick | My favorite colors are: 333 L’intermit (true red), 105 Brun Vintage (muted rose), 210 Rose Dahlia (bubblegum pink), 214 Rose Broderie (rosy deep pink).
A full-coverage, long-wearing, matte-to-semi-matte lipstick encased in genuine leather.
What attracted me to this lipstick is that the formula blends the replenishing and hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid spheres that provide a smoothing effect. It’s rich in long-lasting pigments, but there’s still a bit of radiance. It’s lightweight, smooth, non-sticky, and I promise you this formula will not stick and illuminate the fine lines in the lips. I also love this particular formulation because the color does not bleed into the fine lines of my lip outline. The color range consists of a variety of shades made for light to deep skin tones as well.
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet Lipstick
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet Lipstick | My favorite colors are: 10 Beige Nu (dusty rose nude), 42 Violet Velours (deep berry)
A highly-pigmented, powdery matte finish lipstick that is encased in a red velvet case.
I’m normally not a matte lipstick kind of girl, but when I was introduced to this line, I’m now converted. Normally mattifying lipsticks dry my lips out. Leaving them cakey, flaky, and honestly just exaggerated the fine lines in my lips. This one does none of that. This one is so comfortable on the lips, sot and lightweight. It has a powdery consistency so it glides on the lips effortlessly and delivers a beautiful matte color. It’s a 12+ hour long-wearing lipstick, so something great for ladies who are attending events or brides who don’t have the time to touchup their lips. The formulation is infused with mango butter for comfort, ultra-pigmented and intense result.
Givenchy Le Rouge Night Noir Lipstick
Givenchy Le Rouge Night Noir Lipstick| My favorite color is: 05 Night In Plum (plum purple with purple glitter)
A sparkling, sheer-finish lipstick encased in a red and black sparkle case.
This is SO out of the box for me, but I love it and had to feature it. Here’s what – holiday’s are quickly approaching and this would be so much fun to swipe over your lips for a holiday party or New Years Eve! This collection is tastefully done and like I said – so out of the box for me! The soft texture glides effortlessly on the lips, delivering a sparkling/glittery color from the very first stroke. The formula blends the actions of hyaluronic acid spheres and Acmella oleracea flowers. It’s honestly strikingly beautiful!
