He’s one!
My little Chewy is one years old! I already posted a little tribute to my special one year old last week… so I’ll spare you the gushiness and dive right into his little ‘Snow Much Fun To Be One’ party.
We decided to keep it small. John’s family came in from Atlanta, my sister & brother in law and our neighborhood friends (4 couples + their kids)… somewhat small. We are so thankful that they all made Henry’s birthday, a party we will always remember and hold close to our hearts. To us, it was perfect.
The party revolved around our favorite time of the year — Christmas. We set up the living room table for onament decorating, Henry gave his friends & cousins Christmas books, Santa came to visit and the hit of the party was definitely when they surrounded the kiddo-table for snacks! It melted my heart to see Henry with his little friends. There were so many sweet moments.
I can’t wait to dive into the pictures, but I owe several thank you’s first!
Colleen Katherine Photography documented his day for us. This was important to me, because I wanted to just enjoy the time with Henry, our family and friends without feeling like I had to be glued to the camera to capture every moment. Colleen was a past bride of mine and I’ve remained close with her and her sister, Megan (both authors of Two Delighted).
Megan of Delighted Calligraphy (Colleen’s sister) created the chalk board art and the beautiful food signs.
Wow Factor Cakes made the most precious birthday cake I’ve ever seen. I cried, being the mushy person that I am. I cried over the cutest cake I’ve seen. I can’t even explain how delicious it was… omg!
Best Impressions Catering made the grownups dinner! It was sooooo delcious! We decided to cater in food, mainly because we wanted to spend time with family, friends and of course Henry – without being stressed. It was the best decision and the food was out of this world!
I can’t thank my brother in law, Bruce enough! He was the guy in the Santa suit!
Party Reflections provided the hot water dispenser for the hot chocolate bar.
Thanks so much to everyone who wished Henry a happy birthday! Your words meant the world to John and I… we can’t thank you enough for all the birthday wishes. We are so thankful for our precious one year old!
I will warn you, picture overload is about to happen! I wasn’t sure how not to include all of these. I mean, your baby only turns ONE – once, right?
xoxo
My best sister, ever… Alexa! She’s such a good Auntie to Henry!
After cake and play… the cutest little Santa was ready for bed!
