The majority of these images were snapped with my iPhone… hence the blurriness!
We went to Vegas on Thursday!
I was hired by a gorgeously sweet bride out of DC and she was marrying the love of her life at the WYNN.
This bombshell came with me. This is us at the Charlotte airport and on the plane.
We arrived in Vegas at 10am, by 1:00pm we were enjoying a sunny lunch and our first glass of bubs…
… at the TOWER SUITE CAFE overlooking the pool!
There you have it folks… this is what one glass of the bubs does to me!
Then we dreamt about shopping in these kind of shops…
The storefronts were so delicious you didn’t even need to step inside… you got your fix from starring in the windows!
Oh and I’ve decided that I’d love to start doing mannequins makeup! It was exquisite!
After gazing we ventured into the stores more around our price range… unfortunately!
We might have had another glass of bubs on the way to the other stores… ok, maybe 2 more! 😉
Here panda-panda!
The gals working in this store didn’t approve of Tiff and I and our photo-op!
If we could… let’s pop back to the overpriced-I can’t afford-but really-really want items…
I’m dying over this cuff. As in already dead. I need! Dior you do so many things right!
We continued to walk around, sip on some bubs and window shop.
At the VENETIAN we even went on the outdoor GONDOLA ride. Tourists to the max!
By 5:30pm… we! we’re! done! As in kaput!
One too many glasses of the bubs, 15 + hours on our feet {minus the 4-1/2 flight}. Donezo!
We headed back up to the room for a “power nap”… 6 hours later we woke up! 🙂 Just in time for dinner. We finished our evening at STRATTA where we enjoyed a refreshing glass of H20, flatbread and cleansed our palette with the worlds most tastiest mojito… ever!
The next morning {Friday} we we’re up and out of bed by 6am. Unpacked, showered, full face of makeup and out the door by 9am.
We ventured down to the WYNN’S finest BUFFET, I’m not a huge buffet lover but this one was clean + tasty! I stuffed myself to misery!
Told ya so!
We continued to walk around, explore, and shop.
Later that afternoon I went to my brides suite to do her trial run.
Is she not gorgeous? That’s my hand halfway done with a face.
We actually ended up modifying her makeup and transforming the above look into a smokey cat eye.
Drawing the corners out and up. It turned out gorgeous!
There we are again… this time all cleaned up at the COSMOPOLITAN’S bar, the CHANDELIER. Prior to cocktails at the swanky lounge we enjoyed tapas at JALEO. We sipped our drinks, ladylike and watched the train-wreck of overly-acholol-infused adults stumbling like they’ve never been up past 2am. Quite comical!
The next day {Saturday}, I was up and on location by 9am. Time to make my bride, her mother and the mother of the groom gorgeous! My favorite part of my job… often times I’ll get chocked up at the brides reaction when she first sees herself in the mirror.
Makes me realize why I do what I do.
You might recall when Carrie Bradshaw sported THIS dress in the SATC movie… Vera does everything right!
She even had one of my favorite pair of heels, Miu Miu.
Stunner!
Around 2pm I left my bride as she walked down the aisle. Tiff and I continued to explore.
At 5pm I headed back to the brides room where I changed her hair for the reception.
Later that evening Tiff and I enjoyed a romantic dinner at BARTOLOTTA, gorgeous pool surroundings.
We then headed did the unthinkable… and waited in a line for PURE. <– sho did! Sorry all you Pure lova’s… we thought it was a joke. Sipped one glass of bubs and then hit it. Went over to HYDE in the BELLAGIO, had another glass and then decided we we’re mooding something low key. So, we went back to one of the same spots where we enjoyed a refreshing bellini on Thursday, LILY.
On Sunday our plan was to take the redeye, landing us in Charlotte on Monday morning at 6:30. We we’re zonked so got an earlier flight on Sunday, home and in bed by 11:00pm. DEAR JOHN was very happy to have me home… I think.
A special thanks to my beautiful bride, Monica for trusting in me to make her beauty dreams come to life.
A super thank you to one of my dear besties, Tiffy for traveling by my side with each bride. xo
And there you have it… my ridiculously long blog post! 🙂 I’ll post Monica’s actual wedding pictures soon.
