There’s something about being a girl and walking ‘through the doors’ into a boutique that is everything pretty.
The feeling is indescribable for me, maybe because I love fashion and bright open spaces. I guess the best way that I can describe it is the way my husband gets when he watches his Heels play. Completely focused. I get butterflies and totally anxious, in fear that the beautiful threads are going to walk out the doors before I have a chance to wrap my paws around them. I have problems, I know this…
Over the weekend the girls from PETAL invited me into their home! I snapped a few pictures of the store and through together some outfits, I was so excited to stop in and play!
PETAL is a local boutique tucked away in the charming Dilworth area. Those that live in the neighborhood are so lucky to be surrounded by all of the ’boutiquesque’ stores that fill our streets.
{Petal, Coral, Luxe Home Couture, Monarch, Sloan, Handpicked, Revolve, Paper Skyscraper, Cottage Chic} … just to name a few!
The twinkling chandeliers, slick white walls and pink floors, I find myself gasping for that perfect girly breath, clasping my hands and eagerly embracing the racks. There’s something so grand, yet so humble and inviting about the quaint little environment like PETAL‘s. The gals coat the store with pure sugar, they are the sweetest ever. They greet me by name, willing to help {without being overpowering}, they are just nice. I like nice people. Even when I’m in my gym clothes, mop on top of my head, and mascara down my cheek, they are still so sweet.
Besides being pleasant, the ladies do a remarkable job when it comes to purchasing and what I love most, it’s not overwhelming to the eye. Meaning, it’s easy to maneuver. Don’t get me wrong, I love TJ. MAXX, but the minute I attack their aisles the grey hair immediately attacks me back. Shopping {like running} is like a therapy to me. So the madness of fighting others through the 1-foot aisles is just not appealing. I prefer a little zen while I shop. I also prefer order and I love how their garments are color coded, the hangers are perfectly spaced with a good 2-inch gap between the hanging items. It makes my heart pitter-pater. I love organization.
I also applaud the gals for purchasing ‘just enough’ of each item. Meaning, when your out and about you probably wont see the girl next to you sporting the exact same shirt. It’s good to inspire through fashion and creativity but it’s also good to have your own voice and your own style.
They carry the perfect mix of high end designers but they also have an under $100 section {my fav}. It’s still boutique style/ quality of clothing but at a more reasonable price point. Outfits in the store range from a hot night on the town, playdate at the children’s museum, a day at the office or a morning coffee date with girlfriends. Currently, they are adding a ‘dash of sparkle’ throughout their space… lots of glittery garments for the holidays!
For those who have followed ‘my style’ are familiar with my love for their accessories. Less is never more in that department! I heart a good pair of earrings and without a doubt PETAL is the place. Earrings are my staple and I can’t leave the house without a pair dangling by my cheeks. I favor theirs so much because of the unnoticeable weight and most are priced well at $25. They also make the best gifts!
It’s probably best that I stop my PETAL gushiness! Without further ado… I present to you…
My time at PETAL!
Here’s a little number that I through together… I’m madly in love with this ensemble; the DRESS, the VEST, the COAT. {hint, hint hub}!
Here’s another that I’d love to leave with; the SKIRT, the SWEATER, the NECKLACE {which is on my xmas list}.
Who else loves PETAL??? Who else wants to join us for the SIP & SHOP event on December 6th!?
It’s going to be a lot of fun ladies and we hope to see so many of you there! Shoot me an email {lindsey@lindseyreganthorne.com} and I’ll forward you the Evite!
I’m so excited… there’s nothing better than a bunch of girlfriends, bubbly, and pretty clothes!
