of a…
beach vacation, with the hubba-bubba!
… but in the meantime I’ll dream of plum skirts, matching lip color and a graphic scarf… with a side of big hair of course.
How was everyone’s weekend? I worked… but soon, very soon I’ll be on island time for an entire week! Have no fear though… while I’m gone, I have arranged for a guest non-blogger to come on over and work wonders on “be pretty’s” blog! I’m super excited about this! I can’t reveal any names just yet, but it’s a girlfriend that is so dear to my heart {anyone wanna guess}? Her and I also share the exact same love for fashion, interior spaces and beauty products! I know y’all will adore her!
Not sure what’s going on with the mouth?!

Two weeks from yesterday {Sunday} the little fella and I set sail to Negril, Jamaica. We’ve been twice; once for our honeymoon and the other for our 1 year anniversary! During our trip in September we survived a tropical storm. A “named” tropical storm. A hurricane. Horrible. Sucked. Never wanted to go back… Until now. So, this time we bumped our trip up by 3 months and we are hoping for gorgeous weather! Below are a few pic’s from our vacation last September… it was crazy! Beaches closed, pools closed, 1 restaurant opened, no beer, limited bottle water and the workers that worked at the resort couldn’t make it into work b/c of the massive landslides. I spent a night in the bathtub praying for my life… despite the bad weather and scary storms JT and I still made the best of our time away. We just made friends, had lots of drinks and when the t.v. was working I was introduced to “Teen Mom”. Here’s to hoping that this years trip goes a little more smoothly; with less wind, rain and thunder.
Cheers!
Exactly one year before this trip… the beaches of Negril looked like this!
… and that my friends is why we always choose the Negril side of Jamaica!
2 hour direct flight from Charlotte, 1.5 hour bus ride to the Negril side of the Island, Champagne 24/7, Red Stripe 24/7, Catamaran cruises, beach, white sand, blue water and a lot of sun! To this girl… that is delightful!
