EEEEEKKKK!!!! I’m so excited to finally blog about the beautiful Miss Sarah and her stud JR!! Sarah connected with me MONTHS AGO… we’ve been emailing ideas and exchanging inspiration since January so when the time of her shoot finally came… we were BFF’s! 🙂 Lindsey Lee Photography captured these beautiful images and she was just an absolute sweetie to work with and her work is breathtaking! {SIDE NOTE: please make sure to check out her website and blog for the full story and images of Sarah + JR… I snagged these from her blog but you gotta see all her stuff… http://lindseyleephotography.blogspot.com/2010/05/sarah-and-jr-true-love.html}.
Sarah is quiet the fashionista so pulling together wardrobe for her and JR was cake. She’s a school teacher but during her off season you can find her working the Kate Spade counter. From the shoes she’s wearing in the nautical look to the plunging purple layers around her neck… those were some of her past purchases! Her + JR were really up for anything, they did want something that was them… casual but fun with a vintage but not too vintage twist… so we took a “fresh” approach without making the look to bright. Using items that she already owned, we also hit the mall to purchase both tops that she’s wearing, belt and other random accessories. From there we just pieced it all together. Guess what… not a thing was needed for JR… we pulled every garment that he’s wearing right from his very own closet.
I purchased a few hydrangeas from Michaels {art supply shop} cut the stems and pinned in her hair. We also used the same flowers in the coffee mugs. APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS!!!
Love the clutch… thank you Etsy!
No wonder why he fell in love… look at those eyes! Stumbled across these adorable mugs in Anthro… they were a must for the shoot!Â
And……….. For the SECOND LOOK!!!!
I always like to use a little splash of color… I love the red around her neck!
LOVE THEM!
As we were shopping we both fell in love with her navy and white embroidered top {used in the second look}. From there we built a nautical theme… then my mind kept going… and going… and wouldn’t stop! WHAT IF… we built a sail boat!?!?! And there you have it folks… a school teacher, homemade, sailboat.
Love the boat… 🙂
Love his Tom’s and her sparklies!
Can’t wait for their big day!!! October will be here before you know it!!!
