My first DIY post… not to worry, much more to come in the next few weeks!
Friday morning I worked a photoshoot in 42 degree weather… I’m always cold as it is. Warmth, comfort is the biggest concern on that day… Shooting engagement pic’s for the adorable couple Kate + Daniel {pic’s to come soon}… my job was wardrobe for both looks, props, makeup + hair… Anyways {back to my DIY} Innovate – Innovate – Innovate… always on my mind. I was meeting my client at 7am to start makeup + hair… at 6:30am, digging through my closet I came across this sweater… dated all the way back to my high school days {I’m 27 now so that makes it like 10 years old and I’m a hoarder}. Never really liked the sweater… too bulky on the arms and shoulders… and it’s that kinda sweater where you have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath b/c it’s itchy. Anyways… like I said… Innovate – Innovate – Innovate and that I did. Cut the sleeves off the sweater and used as leg warmers over my leggings… threw on a long sleeve T and sure enough the sweater fit perfectly… no more bulge, no more sleeves. Whipped out the scissors and went to town in the middle of my kitchen. Problem solved… warm + comfy… or so I thought, until Kristin Vining {photographer of Kate + Daniel} stripped it off my bod to incorporate into the wardrobe for the couple. I was left in my clients clothes… cold… frozen… but I must admit it looked fabulous on Miss Kate!
I encourage you to work your wardrobe in a DIY fashion… literally, nip, tuck and cut!

Here’s how….
