The playroom.
A room right off the foyer and front entry of our home – where the mess starts and is rarely picked up… but it’s filled with a lot of love, chipped paint, scratched floors and a few bite marks in the drywall (not naming any names on that one)! This room was supposed to be the “formal dining room”, but the day we moved in (Henry was 2 weeks) we transformed it into our “formal play room”.
This is probably one of my favorite rooms in our home… for no other other reason except that it’s the spot of all my babies firsts. First steps, first crawl, first time they both went from sitting to standing, the first head bang. We’ve played so many games, put together puzzles (over-and-over-and-over again), played matching games and flash cards. THE BOOKS WE’VE READ! It’s where Henry makes me my “cup of cawfee” every morning and we’ll have an occasional tea party. It’s a room that we’ve made so many memories in.

I’ve watched almost 4 years of Henry’s life just fly by. In those short (almost) 4 years, the toys have transitioned, the art work has faded and slowly, but surly, I’m finding less Paw Patrol and Micky Mouse toys scattered throughout and more tiny legos made for big kids. Makes me sad saying good buy to all of his light-up toys, but SO THANKFUL I’m able to go through this stage all over again with Olive. However, BLINK, and in 3 years, I’ll be having the same thoughts as I phase out Olive’s toys.
This season is busy, messy, chaotic and there are far too many days where I want to pull my hair out, but it sure is just the sweetest. I know you all can agree. I’m so thankful for the memories that I’ll forever cherish that took place in this room. Where Olive earned her name Ragdoll and Henry became the ultimate super hero.
I’m really excited to share this special collaboration with you all. I’ll be completely transparent and y’all know by now that I’m an honest person. I only share content that makes up who I am (at times my family) and collaborate with brands and companies that I fully believe in, trust and frequently shop at!
I’m super thankful to Nordstrom for collaborating on this post with my family! You all probably know that I’m a Nordi’s girl and I’m a big fan of their kiddo department! Anyways, here are a few items that my kiddos will be wearing into the cooler months. I’ve linked their adorable outfits below and don’t forget… Nordstrom always offers free and FAST shipping!
