Happy Christmas Week!
I hope y’all are soaking up this beautiful time of the year with lots of family, friends + food! We are spending Christmas in Charlotte with just the three of us.
We decided that our new family Christmas tradition will always take place in Charlotte, at our home. We will miss family tremendously and as we watch Christmas movies, I’m reminded that Christmas is about family. However, I’m not going to miss the hustle and bustle of airports or highways. It’s so nice, not having to thing about what to pack and how to pack it.
Tomorrow, my hubby starts his Christmas vacation. We are going to see the signing bears followed by cocktails with friends that afternoon/ evening. Christmas Eve / Day our plan is to attend church service and then… nothing!!!
We’re going to make a traditional Christmas Day meal, but I’m looking for some yummy menu suggestions for just two on Christmas Eve. Please chime in!
I hope y’all have a very-very Merry Christmas. Here’s a look around our home. Super traditional and most of what we have, we carried from our previous condo. I would love to ditch the red and just do greys, silvers, white, golds (similar to our mantel), but with the amount of red that I had from before…. there is no ditching.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve probably already seen a lot of this.

I’m a believer in lights! My hubby, despises this job. Took him about 5 hours this year to string the lights.
Pottery Barn tree skirt.
The staircase garland took me two whole days. This will be unfastened from the staircase and hung up in the garage just like so! Next year = just fluff!
The Santa is a gift from my Grandpa in Omaha (this year)… and there’s meaning. We love Christmas and always have, we make a really big deal about it! One year my Dad put a big Santa outside of our house and the next day it was stollen. My sister and I were heartbroken. So, now, we have a Santa that will always be with us… inside our home! 🙂
Precious ornament from my precious boy!
Kids table and chairs all from IKEA. Small wreaths from Hobby Lobby + ribbon from Target. “Merry Everything” picture from HomeGoods.
So, I covered our table in this cloth (HomeGoods) for Henry’s party and haven’t taken it off since. I know it does not go with the rug… but we got a table that STAINS. Until we purchase a piece of glass for it, I have to keep it covered. I took semi-small wreaths (Hobby Lobby or At Home) and just added red, white and silver ornaments and hung from the windows.
Playroom swag! Garland purchased from Paper Source and blocks from Hobby Lobby.
Picasso / Henry’s work from school.
Our glowing Christmas tree at night!
And last… but not least… our Minted Christmas Cards.
Ok… one more… Henry — sneakin’ around the Christmas tree! I posted this gem to Instagram over the weekend. Cutest little Santa.
