On Thursday we headed two hours north and a tad bit west of Charlotte to the mountains. Where it is insanely gorgeous this time of year.
While I’ve been looking forward to this trip… it’s kind of been put on the back burner for me, and to be honest I didn’t give the trip all that much thought. Until the wee last minute. Typical. The months of September and October were crazy busy. Lots of traveling here, there and everywhere making pretties even prettier. As most of you know, my hub and I reside in an itty bitty condo which results in flipping the closets for the seasons. It flat out sucks! We have two storage units {don’t ask} and we use vacuum seal bags and tupperware bins to store our wardrobe.
Each season we have to drive to one of the storage units, scurry though the piles, take the the bins home, undo the bins, clean the clothes, dry clean the clothes, fold the clothes, {ommmmmmmgah this is why I want a house, kinda} and then figure out which crack and crevice to squirrel away our current season wardrobe. I forgot to mention that in the mix of doing all of that we have to go through our closet to organize, fold and then store away the out of season wardrobe…
Well, this years switching of the wardrobe didn’t start until Wednesday evening at 9pm. We were leaving Thursday morning and my mind was in full force relaxation mode. Not organization. So, naturally I relied on my other sources…
On Thursday morning {early}, I headed to TARGET half awake. I pondered the women’s section and $130 dollars later I left with 4 sweaters and two pairs of leggings. I’m head over flipping heels in l.o.v.e. with TARGET’s fall collection!
The tribal woven sweater was not available in my size so I settled on these two.
Yes, two of the same. CREAM and GREY colors {$29.99} and yes, something I will overwear this season.
Those weren’t my only purchases. I also left with THIS black poncho and two pairs of THESE leggings {$5}. They have a waist band that kept my food baby in check. I was pretty impressed. I also scored this burnt orange sweater that isn’t available online just yet. So…. while I was in Charleston for work last week I also picked up THAT leopard felt floppy hat and THOSE oxfords… which I love b/c they give me a little lift. Lately, I’ve also been drooling over THIS small messenger.
Mr. Hub + me! While I did bring some additional layers, I am sporting the grey sweater and my new leggings.
I’ll follow up with more pic’s from our trip later in the week. Happy Monday! xo.
