It’s countdown month… until our ONE YEAR wedding anniversary and our 2nd MOONER to Jamaica ‘mon! Today’s post reflects one of my favorite memories… laying on the beach, toes in sand and book in hand! Happy Friday Followers!

About me! Who I am! What I do! 27 years old and still trying to figure that one out... With that said, I seem to ask myself the question daily, along with a lot of others, as it does get a bit confusing. Monday thru Friday I'm an Interior Designer for an AWESOME worldwide firm, {but I'm bias}... specializing in corporate interiors. After my wedding I realized how much I loved the wedding industry so I've also teamed up with the incredible ladies of Weddings and the City as a designer. BUT where my TRUE LOVE and PASSION lies is with my company that is blossoming... Lindsey Regan Thorne B E P R E T T Y and that's what my blog is all about... being pretty! What I thrive off of is making individuals, wedding parties, couples, ladies + gents feel just flat out fabulous about themselves. I'm infatuated with textures, FASHION, layers, patterns, fabrics, accessories + accessories + accessories and piecing the most ridiculous garments together {affordably} to make a piece of art! Waaaaalahhh! I love painting + hairspray... with that... I do makeup + hair! Always had a thing for makeup... sometimes wearing too much of it, but that's another story. I have a love for graphics and a bigger love for photography... and that's where it all comes together! Who are my clients? Typically those getting married... Below is a list of my services!
Engagement Styling: It's crazy the details that you put into your big day... the color of the linens to the font of the programs, every little detail counts but brides often don't have the energy or the time to put into details such as the theme, wardrobe, setting, props, makeup + hair that go into their engagement pictures. I have a solution... ME! That's where I can help YOU! I come in, I team up with the brides photographer, get to know you, the bride + groom. We decide on a location and then the bride + groom + myself hit the closet and the mall. Shopping for the perfect wardrobe that fits the couples style. That compliments their body, their personality and each other. I love to pull in props too! The day of the shoot I will show up on location to do makeup + hair. That's it, easy, fun and making memories... pretty memories!
Wedding Party Styling: Don't just stop with the tux and the dress for your bridesmaids + groomsmen... take the wardrobe to the next level! Again, that's where I can come into help coordinate and pull together a unique looks {affordably}.
Wedding Day + Bridal Portraits Makeup + Hair Styling: I'm also your girl... makeup + hair for you, the bride and your wedding party... my services are all on location; I will come to you!
In a nutshell, that's what I do! However, my number one love and priority is my husband! I love you JT!
Ok, I promise, I'm almost done rambling... coming soon is an addition to my blog called "my S T Y L E" where I will document some of my morning wardrobe selections! Stay tuned....

Holidays are quickly approaching… Are you planning on giving your lucky man something he’ll never forget… Boudoir pictures of YOURSELF?!?!
Get your sexxxxy little kitten on… and get your sexxxxy stylist {<—ha!} secured! An even sexier shoot includes sassy garments, sexxxxy makeup + sultry hair! It’s a gift I’m sure he’ll love!

Counting down… today’s flash back is featuring my bridesmaids luncheon at Ohh-la-la’s {a Southern ladies tea house}. At the luncheon I also gave the girls their gifts {white boxes with Lolly pops placed on top}…. such a fun laid back lunch before heading to the rehearsal + rehearsal dinner!

Yes, I’m wearing the same dress at my bridesmaids luncheon that I wore the day of our engagement pictures ~ and I’m holding a picture of us published in Carolina Bride.

My bridesmaids but missing Anne for this picture!

A nice little treat from my two sister-in-laws {Anne + Jenny} ~ Thanks ladies!

I’m still going… countdown continues! Today’s feature is on our “Welcome Bags” that were placed in the hotel rooms of our out of town guests. John wrote the little quote and I made the graphic using Illustrator… bags were also a DIY!

Beautiful Leigh and her poolside bridals! Kristin Vining, Leigh and I hooked up earlier in the summer for some run laid back portraits…. I came in to do bridal styling, makeup + hair. Inspired by the color + reflection of pool water I began to shop for some bold accessories… the one of a kind Kate Spade necklace and ring brought the “poolside” look and feel all the way up to her neckline! We pulled whimsical pieces like pink flamingos which brought character to the images. We had a blast with Leigh and every time I see the imagery it makes me want to kick back, put on a floppy hat + bikini and sip some sort of blended colorful drink by a pool… or the beach!

Today’s countdown… the details of our big day! What made our day so special to us is that it was “us” and done by us… everything that you’re about to see is all DIY {do it yourself}. The idea of our wedding was vintage glam | old Hollywood glam, we created a soft palette using gold’s, blush/antique pinks, whites, crèmes + champagnes. I love feathers, always have so we opted to use those in lieu of flowers… and it was a cost savings. I spent countless hours creating these Kate Spade inspired feather balls… all of the bridesmaids bouquets and aisle markers that you see down the aisle we’re created by myself in my living room… at times I swear I had a herd of geese floating through our condo. We love candle light and the ambiance that it creates so instead of huge arrangements I purchased vintage inspired low champagne glasses from Crate & Barrel {yes, I have millions}. At the end of the summer season they went on sale for $1… so I purchased hundreds. I wanted champagne towers… and that’s what we created on several of our table tops. All of the tables were surrounded by candle gardens arranging in glass cylinder jars low, tall, round and votives. I actually love carnations… well, let me rephrase that statement: I love them when they are bunched together… I love the volume and the texture, on the tables outside we lined the center of the tables with large clear vases filled with a massive carnation puff. All of our stationary from my bridal shower thanks you’s to our reserved signs all coordinated… I’m a sucker for graphics + paper! I love the large balloons and I wanted to bring height into the spacious ceilings so we staggered balloons throughout the ceremony and reception by tying the balloons to our chairs. The COOKIES… I almost forgot… my hubby has a sweet tooth, and ever since we started dating he would make a fresh batch of cookies every evening and dunk them in milk so a milk + cookie bar was so fitting!
I hope ya’ll enjoy some of the detailed shots from our big day! **Photo’s courtesy of our wonderful wedding photographer: Kristin Vining

The countdown continues as we’re getting closer and closer… here’s some pictures of The Thorne’s “under the sea” on our honeymoon. Yes, I’m wearing a life jacket while snorkeling! This time around we’re scuba diving and I’m petrified!

I’ve been waiting… and waiting… and waiting for the top by Yoana Baraschi that I’m wearing in this post to go on sale. I’ve been a serial stalker of Petal and Sloan {local boutiques to Charlotte} since spring. I would have paid full price of $288 and then consume Ramen Noodles for the rest of the month because I’m absolutely in love with it… but I’m afraid that would have caused the hubby a heart attack. Instead each week I pay my visits, each week I try it on, and each week I walk out of the shop with something else more in my price range {like my fave $24 earrings}… Like I’ve said, I’ve watched the top go from full price to 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% but it was last Thursday when this beauty went to 75% off!!! We {the top + me} were meant to be! So… I decided to wear it out on Saturday night and YES, with my white jeans! Also, I’ve been a little in love with red lips lately… weekends especially: bronzers, mascara and red lips… nothing else! Stay tuned for my countdown calendar to continue….
Happy Monday Followers! ps… check out my new ring… I haven’t been to Forever21 in sometime but on Saturday we made a quick little stop and I walked out with this only $5.80!

I’m still going… the countdown to being married for ONE YEAR continues, as “I take a glimpse through memory lane” and all the fun leading up to our big day ! I seriously have the best group of girlfriends… crazy + fun + loving + insane… list goes on and on and on. I’ve never had so much fun, I love my girls… to pieces! Here’s a little taste of our first night in Charleston as we hit up the town in our sparkly best! More pic’s and UNSEEN videos to come… stay tuned! BIG kiss ~ Happy Friday Followers!
